It’s decidedly colder outside these days – not very warm indoors either, I’ve got my thermals, fingerless gloves, scarf and hat on for work!
I don’t like being cold, so late autumn and winter is a bittersweet time of year. So long as I’m wrapped up warm I love the stunning low sunlight, crisp fresh days, hard crunchy ground, frost patterns and hot drinks outdoors. Sometimes I think people are on to a good idea when they emigrate to warmer climes in the winter, but on the whole I think I’d rather stay here and enjoy the special things that the colder seasons bring – as long as the heating works and I’ve got warm feet, hands and head! Oh, and hot chocolate, mulled wine, thick duvet, warm slippers (that cover my ankles), warm boots…have I forgotten anything…?
